Art has been proven to assist children’s concentration levels and attention spans. When your child is engrossed in an art project their focus is intense. They are not distracted by external elements like television, phones or video games. Developing this level of concentration will be valuable in other areas of life where a significant amount of focus is required.
Art classes also allow children to interact with other students, opening up many new social possibilities as well as developing communication and social skills.
Rhode Island Art Classes (riartclasses.com) provides a safe, productive and fun environment for art instruction of children, youth, and adults. Our professional art teachers combine years of experience both in the fine art and commercial art fields, providing students with a well-rounded experience that can benefit them at school or work.
Utilizing the wide variety of talents and skills our instructors bring to the program, students can learn the basics of art processes such as:
Art students should learn the fundamentals of art and design while having fun! We teach core art concepts such as color theory, 2D and 3D design, while providing students with projects that put those concepts to use. We also make reference to historical art periods such as Impressionism, Cubism and Modernism, so that students can learn how art has evolved throughout the ages.
Art and design are skills that can also be taken into the commercial world. In some of our classes and camps students will develop their own products, brands, and business proposals. They will take ideas from initial concepts all the way to completion, creating their own products, marketing plans and marketing materials.
Rhode Island Art Classes strives to develop the whole art student, one who realizes the value of fundamental art skills and can utilize those in more advanced applications. Best of all, the students have a blast doing it! See our testimonials!
