Kid's art classes are offered on Saturday mornings from 9am to 11am and on specified days throughout the year. Every weekend the students are challenged with a new project they can take home at the end of the day. Day classes include such projects as painting (watercolors and acrylic), drawing, poster design, t-shirt design, sculpting and 2D design, and mixed-media among other mediums.
Our 8-week Saturday art classes session titled “Discovering the Arctic Circle” is designed for our art students to create works inspired by the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights), Icy Blue Landscapes, Glaciers, Polar Bears, Walrus, Arctic Hares and many more animals found in the Arctic Circle. They will explore various mediums including Paper Mache, Paint, Sculpture and Frozen Slime. A PowerPoint Presentation of famous Norwegian artist Peder Balke who portrayed the Arctic Circle through his paintings will be on view during the classes for inspiration and art education.
Art camps are currently being held at the Laurel Grange in Harmony, RI: 347 Snake Hill Rd, North Scituate, RI 02857 at the corner of Snake Hill Rd. and Saw Mill Rd. (Click here for a map).
The classes are on the following Saturdays for eight weeks from 9am -11am.
January 5, 12, 19, 25, February 2, 9, 16, 23
Every student will receive a Certificate of Completion for each class completed!
The eight Saturday art classes package is $140 (if paid in full at time of registration includes one free class!). Classes may also be purchased individually for $20.00 each session. There is no charge for materials. Classes are limited so register early!

Upon arrival at the art classes, parents (if student a minor) need to fill out a registration form and an emergency contact form, as well as indicate any allergies or medial issues the students may have. Students may not be left without providing this information.
